Back in the groove
After that pesky 10-month layoff from playing shows, we’re striking back with a quick turnaround – back at the Tin Roof Cantina a mere 2.7 months after our last show. But a lot has changed since then. We have two new songs, and also dusted off an old original & remixed it. And new covers, maybe? And old covers from deep in the archives. Come check it out.

Yes, we’re still a band
Can’t believe this is our first show of 2018, but we will try hard to make up for lost time. Mark your calendars, bring your friends.

A Night Out for Odyssey (featuring Penny Western)
Penny Western is honored to be the musical guest for this great event for a great cause. Follow the links below to learn more about the event and how to make a donation.
Odyssey is a 6-week summer program (5-weeks for Odyssey High) held on the campus of The Westminster Schools. Students selected to attend Odyssey are enrolled at schools in the Atlanta area and will be in grades 1 through 12 in the school year following the Odyssey summer. All expenses to attend Odyssey — from transportation to and from The Westminster Schools, to school supplies, to snacks and lunch — are provided through the generosity of our donors and supporters. Odyssey strives to create an engaging educational environment that gives students the ability to excel in the upcoming school year and beyond, and to find value and excitement in classroom learning.

Next Show: Penny Western and Moye
Saturday August 15
Smith’s Olde Bar
It’s The Music Event of the Summer!!
A long time ago in a city far away (New York), our beloved, talented, and handsome bass player Whit Lanier was in another band called Moye. Now they’re actually making good on the cliche of “getting the band back together.” They’re bringing band members in from New York, North Carolina and Spain for this one-time only reunion show.
And while that’s all fine and good, more importantly Penny Western will be playing on the same bill! There will no doubt be some friendly competition between the two bands, and you can bet both bands will be bringing their A-games.
We chose the early show time slot to make sure everyone can come and see all of the music. Start making your plans now.
Hope to see you there!

Darkness falls across the land

And whosoever shall be found
Without the soul for getting down
Must stand and face the hounds of hell
Or at least not enjoy themselves very well
Join Penny Western for our annual Rocktober show at the Tin Roof Cantina, Friday October 25 @ 7 p.m. Be there or face the hounds of hell.

Penny Western on Facebook
We didn’t plan it, but Penny Western took the summer off. In the past few months the band has added a new baby, a new marriage, and a few new songs. And now we’re settled, well rested and ready to rock again. We hope you can join us for our triumphant return.
